BADCON 2024 – Event

BADCON is located in the midlands of England and has historically been one of the biggest UK Historical Wargaming Tournaments of the past 25 years. The hall typically has around 80 tables, and over 100 players, covering the Ancient and Renaissance periods. You can find out more about it here.

This year was the launch of the Helion version of Renatio et Gloriam. We had 10 competitors, including all three authors (Simon C being drafted in at the last moment as scratch player) . The results being –

I think it is fair to say that everyone has a good time, and the event went swimmingly. Here are a couple of pictures from the event

My highlight (for all the wrong reason). My Eastern association (allied to Fairfax) not only was hesitant , but with three back cards in the first hand suffered desertion. I has lost 7 ‘wounds’ before the game started ! All good fun !
