QRS & Amendments
« on: June 28, 2020, 12:39:55 PM »
Thank you everyone for your comments on the forum and the lots of personal emails I have recieved. I am deeply indebted to australian colleagues for all their games and comments, which with my many solo games have enabled me to put together an amendment sheet and a qrs. These are what i will start playing now that we can start playing again, on the qrs the major changes are in the shooting and combat factors as we were very close, hopefully this is us mostly there now as far a factors go. Also attached are the amendments. As well as getting some games in will also be working through all in detail with Simon

Thanks again Everybody.

Cheers

Alasdair

A lot of good stuff here I think, after a quick read.

With the removal of shallow cavalry formations will the lists returnn to allowing 4's or 6's for mounted as well as mixed formations for some types (Elmeti, etc)?

Another fine evolution towards the final answer.
Must get a test game in after Cannae.

A quick question about close combat units. The main advantage of this formation was the ability to free charge. Will this become a characteristic instead or will these units now have to spend a card to charge?

Thanks for pointing this out, the aim being units armed with just close combat weapons will be allowed a free charge at 1bw

Mixed formations definitely, lots of people like the 4's of cavalry so that is likely to stay

Some good changes in here but a couple of questions. The Summary sheet refers to Foot TUGs being driven back - but itd all TUGs isn't it?

Swordsmen have gone backwards against bayonets, and they were pretty bad before. Still not sure why a bayonet is a super weapon. Also, aggressive foot are pretty bad against just about everything with a pointy stick of some type, rolling white dice and hoping for an S is a low percentage game. If aggressive tribal types with swords are going to be so bad, then they need a serious reduction in cost, because they are just terrible at the moment, without much of an advantage in numbers.

Apart from that, I think the changes are definitely on the right track.

Cheers,

Craig
