Draft Army Builder for 2027

Here is a link to the proposed 2027 army builder that will replace the sheets have, up until this time been used. Its a web app, handling both full REG and Epico. It is also configured for PC and Mobile. You can save files and load etc

Looks amazing.

I particularly like how you can hover the mouse over things to get the rules (or at least some info)

Must have been a ton of work to put all the armies on there!

Have had a little play around with a couple of armies. Are there many points changes? The only one I've encountered so far is that foot skirmishers seem a little more expensive.

The only clear 'error' I have found is that Unready generals are not getting their discount.

Will let you know if I find anything else.

right back at the beginning of REG everying was put in a Database, rather than flat workbooks. As such, it much easier to connect everything up now. It was alway more a of challenge getting it back into a spreadsheet. This was always the plan, and was just a question of time an effort. Given the state of dev tools now its much easy to do this quickly (my time was always the factor)

Unready is an issue.

Points wise, its a bit of flux up to 2027. Nothing much to change. We did find some bugs in the original AB sheets that have been corrected in the new AB though!

Surprised infantry skirmishers needed a points hit.

Possibly a couple of other things could do with a look (like camels)

Just reposting my comments on the FB page to this thread.

Hi Simon. Just had a peek and looks. For someone still quite new to REG and the lists, I like how quickly you can select (as options are prefilled etc).

Min and Max was one of the features I was hoping would be added!

I am also used to the print out listing each unit as a line item, but this online version doesn't.

It also means that, for instance, if you select 2 or more foot units of same type and want to give just one a Reg Gun this is not possible

Will either of these be addressed? (You commented to Ian's question that the Min/Max thing is to make sure people actually buy the army list books - so I guess that wont happen?

I also noticed that the cards line for sub-generals doesn't seem to populate.

In the Italian War lists it doesn't list the ally only lists many have available (like Condottiere or Landshnekts) for some of the armies (I haven't checked them all). You can still add them as an ally but have to do a search.

In the text describing 'Disciplined' it claims they take one extra wound to break. I believe it is two.

Ive run through the allies list again, there were a couple of errors, that i have corrected. If you spot more let me know

I did a quick check on the Italian Wars book. Most are fine but the allies for lists 5 (Venice) and 6 (Naples) seem to be way off (ie early 18th century armies)

Can you check the version of the AB? Should be 75


 
If you dont have 75 refresh your browser. I looked an both Venice and Naples look OK
