Cavaliers 101

This section will help any players who are struggling to control their reckless Cavaliers. (this also applies an any other Impetuous types!)

Reckless Pursuit
Page 137&138 are you friends here

Your pursuers must make 3 pursuit moves.
The 1st move is always going to be limited by the rout move of the opponent.
You can play CCC cards to play F1 control pursuit. Note you can only ever play 2 cards to prevent pursuit, so you will always pursue at least once!

Pursuit moves.
After contact has broken (when your opponent routs) you must reform immediately

When making the initial pursuit move *while the routing TUG is on the table. You must attempt to contact it.
  • If you can do so by moving directly ahead, you must do that ME.18.D.3.2
  • If you cannot contact you must wheel parallel to the routers, and attempt to follow  ME.18.D.3.3
These two options will determine the line which the pursuers will follow with their 2nd and 3rd moves. The 2nd and 3rd pursuit moves are made directly ahead. These moves can contact new enemies and counts as a charge ME.18.D.5. So, if you break enemies in the charge phase then you can move up to three times, and fight again.

Pursuit off table

This is covered by page 205 (AP.28.29)
TUGs off-table in this manner are always treated as 'out of command', and can only return with 2 cards
Generals <with> off table (looking at you Rupert) are always treated as 'out of command' for other on-table TUGs in that General's command.

Off Table & Winning the game

Please note that the p53. The victory conditions are based on loss of on-table TUGs. So having too many off table TUGs is a bad idea!
